It’s Christmas Day! I’ve just arrived home after celebrating Midnight Mass at our local church and I’m full of the festive spirit! A few weeks ago I suggested that we try to pace ourselves so that we didn’t end up feeling rushed and stressed today. Did you manage it?
I tried to take my own advice and I think to a certain extent I’ve managed to achieve my goals. I’m telling myself to be positive and give myself a pat on the back! The shopping and wrapping and card writing were all completed a little earlier than last year which is an improvement, and I am determined not to consider the fact that I still have a list of ‘Jobs I would like to get done before Christmas Day’ a failure. Surely it is more important to cut our losses and make sure we spend time with our family and friends, as well as capturing the meaning of this special time of year.
I hope you have done all that you needed to do before today. I also hope that you are now able to enjoy your Christmas celebrations without feeling overly stressed. Can I take this opportunity to wish you a very ‘Happy Christmas’ filled with meaning and wonderful memories.
