How are you going to celebrate the end of the year? The 31st of December is a sacred day in my books. It’s a day when I take some time to quietly contemplate all that has been in the year past. A time to reflect, and as part of that process I like to look back over the past 365 days and complete my very own ‘Top 100’, a list of all the things that I am proud of, have learned, have loved doing etc. why don’t you give it a go? Grab yourself some alone time (or complete the process with a friend), a pen and a piece of paper and give it a try. 1. Take a few slow, deep breaths and let go of the rushing thoughts in your head. 2. When you feel centred, start writing your list. Try to leave your head and go inside of yourself for the answers, to really feel each of your achievements/highlights as you write them on your paper. 3. Consider the following prompts if you are ‘stuck’ for ideas: What made you feel good this year? What are you proud of? What inspired you this year? What life lessons have you faced up to? What are your accomplishments this year? How have you grown as a person this year? What do you know now that you didn’t know 365 days ago? What did you learn about yourself this year? Life is what you make of it. We design our lives, in part, by the stories we tell. Make your story of 2014 a wonderful one. With blessings Jean Inspired Education
