I’ve been blessed. So far, I have travelled to 48 countries in our beautiful world. Needless to say, I’ve clocked up some air miles during that time, and, having travelled extensively throughout Southeast Asia, more than a few of those miles have been with AirAsia. So when I heard the news about flight QZ8501, it was, of course, as shock. Being in Indonesia at the moment makes it feel all the more personal, close. First and foremost, my heart felt sympathies go out to all the families and friends of those on board. I cannot pretend to know what you are feeling; all I can do is let you know that you are in my thoughts. Tragedy affects us all. Whether we are helpless onlookers or deeply entrenched in the event itself, the impact is felt far and wide. For me, there is always a deep empathy for those involved, along with a gentle reminder that life is short, tenuous at best and to be lived with spirit and love. There is no other way to make the most of our time here on earth. Living an authentic life that is true to ourselves is a choice that we all get to make. Regardless of where we find ourselves in the present moment, gratitude and appreciation are always an option. As I go through my day today, I’m going to look for the blessings, in honor of the life I have been given, and in honor of those who have walked this earth before me. God bless the souls of Flight QZ8501.
